Welcome to Room 301! I'm very excited to be teaching 7th and 8th grade science this year.

I am originally from southwest Virginia. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.  After graduating, I moved to Tennessee. My husband and I moved to NC in 2018. 

​

My husband is an engineer. We do not have any children right now, but do have a cat that we treat as our child. I am sure you will hear more about our cat, Hobbes, this year!

​

When I have free time, I am usually hiking, hanging out by the pool, reading a good book, or drawing. I also love sports. I love the Carolina Panthers, Hokies, Carolina Hurricanes, and Dodgers! I also enjoy exercising, doing yoga, and playing tennis.

I believe that all students can learn. I will do my best to ensure every student is given the right environment and instruction needed to reach their full potential.
